Dear Patient,

Now that your implant(s) is uncovered, the following
information is very important for you to read and under-
stand. If you have any questions, please call us and we
will go over an explanation of this letter.

The liquid medication Preidex or PerioGard will be pre-
scribed for you. Dip a cotton swab into the solution and
vigorously swap around the implant(s) for one to three
minutes. Please do not rinse with the medication for it
has a tendency to stain teeth. Staining can be removed
by professional cleaning. Only a cotton swab will be
used for the first week. Once healed the #3O8 tuft-end
brush, dipped in the above solutions, may be used around
the implant(s).

Healing collars have a tendency to slightly loosen. If
this occurs please call us immediately. The healing
collar must be tightened as soon as possible to prevent
it from coming out.

Stay on your regular cleaning schedule during the
implant(s) process. It is important that you remind the
hygienist that you have dental implant(s) uncovered. These
implant(s) can not be cleaned with the normal metal instruments
or by the ultrasonic "cavitron" instrument.

After the gums heal around the healing collar, Dr. Morton
will advise you when to proceed with the restorative phase of
treatment with your general dentist. Great communication
between offices, doctors, and you make the successful results
we all want.

Sincerely,

M. J. Morton, D.M.D.
